Rick Tomlinson

Rick Tomlinson is a renowned marine photographer with a focus on yacht racing, wildlife, and expedition photography. He gained prominence through his work in the Whitbread Round the World Race, capturing the Southern Ocean's treacherous conditions. Since starting his career in 1985, Rick has worked with top magazines and events, including National Geographic and the Volvo Ocean Race. His innovative photography techniques have redefined onboard photography, particularly with his signature night-time shots. In addition to yacht racing, Rick engages in marine advertising photography and has undertaken assignments globally, including the Arctic and Antarctic. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to marine photography and safety at sea, including the RNLI Bronze Medal.
